Shizuoka University Researchers Ranked Among the World’s Top 2% Influential Scientists
A comprehensive list identifying the world’s top 2% most influential scientists, compiled by Stanford University (USA) and Elsevier, has been updated and published on September 19, 2025 (based on the August 2025 data update of the Standardized Citation Indicators Database).
Researchers from the Research Institute of Green Science and Technology (RIGST), Shizuoka University have been selected for inclusion in this prestigious ranking.
According to the 2025 edition, one researcher from Shizuoka University was listed in the Single Recent Year (2024) category, and three researchers were included in the Career-Long category.
The database evaluates scientists across 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields, including all those with at least five published papers indexed in Elsevier’s Scopus database. The top 2% of researchers in each subfield are identified based on their citation impact, considering composite indicators such as the h-index, co-authorship-adjusted citations, and other standardized metrics.
The Single Recent Year category reflects citations received during 2024, while the Career-Long category considers cumulative data up to the end of 2024.
