Research Activities

Dear all the faculty and office members of RIE, RIGST, GSST and CMMP,  

Six departments of Shizuoka University, Research Institute of Electronics, Research Institute of Green Science and Technology, Graduate School of Science and Technology, Cooperative Major in Medical Photonics, Organization for Research Strategy, and Future Scientists' School program will jointly hold “The 12th International Symposium toward the Future of Advanced Research (ISFAR-SU 2026).”  

We have been hosting ISFAR-SU since 2014 as the annual symposium. This year, it is going to be the 12th and held online as last year. This symposium intends to globalize the research, and also develop the promising young researchers on the diversified basis. To accelerate the target achievement, in this symposium, we promote the scientific exchanges among young researchers and prominent domestic and international researchers, which lead to international joint research and globalization of education in Shizuoka University. 

In view of the above purpose, we will have a session for young researchers in this symposium, so please encourage your supervising students, postdocs, etc. to give presentations. Best Presentation Award will be given to the excellent presentations. 

We heartily hope you are going to join us and discuss human's future based on our diverse scientific and technological ideas. We would like to express our gratitude for your cooperation to call for participation from relevant parties outside.

[Call for Presentation]  

Research presentations will be mainly for students and young researchers. Presenters will be requested to submit abstracts in advance and to give a live presentation and Q & A in the session. Excellent presentations will be awarded the Best Presentation Award. 

Those wishing to present should refer to the attached “Guideline (ISFAR-SU 2026)” and apply for it when registering the participation.
