The IPSB2019 was held from September 24th to 25th, 2019 at Johor Bahru Campus of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
This IPSB 2019 has focused on various important disciplines of biotechnology and provided as a platform to promote interactive ways for graduate students to submit their research proposals and progress. Also being able to evaluate their research development, this event affords students an opportunity to improve presentation skill.
The symposium began with a welcoming speech by the chairperson of the organizing committee, Prof. Hesham El-Enshasy and officiated by Assoc. Prof. Noor Hazarina Hashim, the Chair of School of Graduates Studies, UTM.
A total of 90 postgraduate students presented either their research proposal or progress in the two days. In addition, Prof. Enoch Park from Research Institute of Green Science and Technology, Shizuoka University and Prof. Rosli Md Illias from Research Alliance, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia were given as plenary speakers.
The symposium was closed with the closing remarks and introduction of best presenter awards.
